Our Stallions

We are reducing our herd, and currently have Welcome to JC Training Center. We are located in Acampo, California, in the beautiful San Joaquin Valley. This area is best known for its vineyards and wineries. It is also home to several breeding and training ranches featuring several different breeds of horses. I have had horses since high school, and enjoyed them as a hobby for many years while I was employed in banking and credit management. After a serious riding accident, I decided to become a professional trainer, and have been breeding, training and exhibiting horses since the early 1970s. Originally, I specialized in Arabians, and then Miniature Horses and Shetland Ponies. I have also been active as a judge for several breeds of horses and ponies. In 2003, I added a mobile tack store, JC Tack, to my other activities. I sell from the ranch, and also travel to shows in California and the surrounding states, specializing in tack and supplies for Minatures and Shetlands. In 2006, I made the decision to close the public training portion of my operation in order to have more time to enjoy my own animals. I also increased the size of my breeding operation at that time, and accumulated a herd of double-registered ASPC/AMHR animals which I have bred and shown very sucessfully. I recently decided that I no longer desire to have a large breeding operation. Instead of ten to twenty foals a year, I only want two or three, and definitely not more than five. Because of this decision, I have offered most of my animals for sale. Many have found wonderful homes in several different states with other breeders of ASPC/AMHR registered animals. I will continue to breed and exhibit a few each year, and offer some for sale. All are entered and sustained in both the ASPC and AMHR futurities. |
